National Night Out – We hope you'll join us for an evening of community, connection, and fun!

National Night Out is a wonderful opportunity to meet neighbors, connect with local organizations, and spend time with the first responders who help keep our community safe.

This year's event is shaping up to be one of the best yet! Be sure to check out the attached flyers for a full list of activities, vendors, and attractions.

Highlights include:
🍽️ Free food from local favorites, including fajitas, fresh pasta, and Indian food
🚔 Police vehicles on display, including squad cars you can explore
🚓 A SWAT vehicle demonstration
🚒 Fire trucks and firefighters on site
🚁 A helicopter flyover
🎶 Live music from the Woodrow Wilson High School Band
🎨 Family-friendly activities, games, and community booths

This event is free and open to all ages, so bring your family, invite your neighbors, and come celebrate what makes East Dallas such a special place to call home.

We're also looking for a few additional volunteers to help make the evening run smoothly. If anyone in your neighborhood association is able to volunteer for a one-hour shift, please have them contact me directly.

Current volunteer opportunities include:
• Face Painting Check-In Station
• Kids Activity Station (bubbles and sidewalk chalk)
• Balloon Artist Check-In Station
Even an hour of help makes a big difference!

• The tour meeting spot is at DFW Airport at Terminal B Gate 33 at 11:30
• The Rotarian will receive an email from the TSA to be escorted in
• It includes a box Lunch

Lessons on Leadership, the Rule of Law, and Public Trust

Matthew J. DeSarno is a retired FBI Executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience in national security, law enforcement, military service, and crisis management. During his FBI career, he led major criminal, counterterrorism, cyber, and intelligence operations in the United States and overseas, including serving as Special Agent in Charge of the Dallas Field Office.

Prior to leading the Dallas office, DeSarno served in several senior executive positions at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., including Deputy Assistant Director and Section Chief in the Counterterrorism Division, where he directed global counterterrorism operations and intelligence efforts during the height of the ISIS insurgency. He also served as Special Agent in Charge of the Criminal and Cyber Division of the FBI’s Washington Field Office.

Matt is also a Dallas Morning News contributing columnist.

This is a very special night with wonderful entertainment and great fellowship.  12/12 We will be seated in Orchestra Right. 12/19  seats are in Orchestra Terrace Left.

There is the opportunity to have dinner at the Symphony Center prior to the program (separate cost) with wonderful food, good wine and a special bread pudding for dessert, all buffet style. You will need to make your own reservations for dinner.
