It is with great pleasure that we announce the selection of John D. Moser as District Governor Nominee Designate, to be the District Governor for District 5810 in Rotary Year 2020-2021.

John is a member of The Rotary Club of Allen Sunrise in Allen Texas, where he has served as Foundation Chair, and is currently serving as the Club’s Secretary.

John has been in Rotary since 2008 when he joined The Rotary Club of Frisco. While at Frisco, John served in many areas, he was the Club’s President in 2012-2013, and was selected Rotarian of the Year by the Club. He was also the Club’s Charter Sponsor for the chartering of the Rotary Club of Propser.

In 2009 John participated in the 2009 Indian National Inoculation Day in Hyderabad, India.

John currently serves as District 5810 Foundation Chair for District 5810. He has held numerous positions at the District level; including Assistant Governor, District Grants Chair, Co-Chair Humanity in Motion Foundation Gala, District Assembly Chair 2014-2015.

He is a Major Donor, Paul Harris Society member, and a Foundation Bequest Society member. He is also a member of WASRAG (Water and Sanitation Action Group) and The Rotary Wine Fellowship.

John graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington (with honors), with a degree Bachelor of Business Administration.

He is retired from American Airlines after 31 years of service. And he also retired from Sprint. He is a Deacon at Grace Presbyterian Church in Plano, and is a Master Mason, 32o Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner. He and his wife Trudy have been married for 52 years, and live in Fairview, Texas. They have two adult children, son and a daughter, and 4 grandchildren. They enjoy traveling and playing golf.
