On December 11th Kenn Scott gave us an entertaining autobiographical sketch beginning as a 12 year old being slammed to the floor by a seventh grade bully named Chase. Then and there he resolved to make sure that such would never happen again. For those of you old enough to remember Charles Atlas it was reminiscent of the 97 pound weakling that got sand kicked in his face.

On December 11th Kenn Scott gave us an entertaining autobiographical sketch beginning as a 12 year old being slammed to the floor by a seventh grade bully named Chase. Then and there he resolved to make sure that such would never happen again. Kenn chose to pursue martial arts, specifically karate, in which he became an expert. Along with physical prowess there came mental training and life lessons like following your dreams with dogged determi-nation and learning that a per-son reaps what he sows.

Karate and the popularity of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles opened up a whole new world leading Kenn to seek to break in to the movies. After trying out repeatedly for extra and walk on roles, his martial arts expertise. timing and luck catapulted him into the character Raphael in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies in the 1980's. The movies remain popular with youth born long after the series was filmed. For his part Kenn has used his celebrity to help raise money for worthy causes over the past 30 years including, appropriately enough, the Sea Turtle Conservancy.
