The word enthusiasm comes from the Greek language meaning God-filled and indeed both its original meaning and its current meaning of excitement describe our speaker on June 19th, Kimberli Brackett. She related how she inspired elementary age students in Prosper ISD to form "Kids Prosper Kids" to connect with children in Ghana by raising money to provide school supplies and clothing.

In addition KPK, a 501c(3) non-profit, has purchased 10 acres of land in Kumasi on which, in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Kumasi and the government, a school facility will be built. Caden Clay,a Prosper high schooler, gave a personal account of how KPK has opened a connection for him and his fellow students with kids in Ghana. One final example of connection has been Kimberli's participation in our club's medical and dental programs in Ghana.
