Does the News Still Exist?

Topic: Remember the days of newspapers and twice-a-day news reports? Our newsfeed today is constant, variegated, and yes, opinionated.  Is there such a thing as unbiased news?  Or must we make an effort to curate our sources to get the full picture of current events?

Byron Harris is one of the most decorated reporters in the United States. Among his national honors are six DuPont Columbia Awards, including the only Dupont Gold Baton (joint) ever given to a local television station, two Peabody awards, four Edward R. Murrows, and four Gerald Loeb Awards for business and financial reporting.

Although he is known primarily as an investigative reporter for WFAA-TV in Dallas, Harris has written for Texas Monthly, Air & Space Magazine, the Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, and The Dallas Morning News. Harris has taught Investigative Reporting at SMU and at IRE, and currently writes Byron's Lens for WFAA.com.

He is an Army veteran, an Eagle Scout and a volunteer for Dallas Habitat for Humanity.
