"Turn hunger into hope with your own two hands by packing nutritious meals for hungry children around the world."

Through Feed My Starving Children, our club will engage in an impactful meal-packing experience.  We will meet at FMSC location in Richardson.  This is similar to the food packing we have participated in the past but avoids the cost of shipping the food and onsite. 

NOTE:  You will be registering through Feed My Starving Children's Volunteer portal.

Board of Directors Meeting- In Person immediately after Club meeting. 

The Board of Directors meets monthly on the 4th Wednesday of the month. (exceptions November & December) Each Director reports on the setbacks and successes of their Avenues of Service, new member applications are reviewed, monthly financials and other club business. Members are welcome to observe. 

Come join us as we celebrate the great leadership of President Hubert and kick-off another great of service with President Elect Kerney Laday.

Honor our Heroes- We light Downtown Dallas Blue for our Fallen Police Officers. DPD Memorial for Fallen Police & 5 Cops killed on July 7, 2016.  Please remember, pray and honor our heroes and their families. 

Come hear about the new things happening at the Museum including a new NASA exhibit and a Women in Flight Initiative.

Service Above Self Teacher Awards Luncheon!  We will be honoring three teacher who go above and beyond to make a difference.  Come join us to honor these special educators.  

Immediately following club meeting.  

Please join us for our August service project at White Rock Center of Hope.  This will be an INDOOR project stocking shelves, clothes closet and store room.  This is a great project working beside our Rotarian friends and helping the community.

Surviving the Unthinkable: A Club Member’s Journey at Ground Zero on 9/11

Join us for a service project to pack 70,000 meals with Feed My Starving Children! The event will take place on Saturday, September 14th from 9am to 1pm. Bring your family and friends to pack meals and enjoy fellowship together.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

1)  Please note that this organization requires us to register via their volunteer signup. Link provided. 

2)  Their registration only reflects one shift time but know that we are providing packing for 2 shifts 9am-1pm. 

3)  We will have a 30 minute snack break from 10:45-11:15am.

Quarter Horse Racing at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie

First race at 6pm 

Where: Silks  Dining room on Level Four of Grandstand.

Panoramic views in airconditioned comfort  of the race course overlooking the finish line

Price: $55 a person includes your admission and an all you can eat buffet including non alcoholic drinks. Not included are alcoholic beverages and of course your wagers.

This should be a fun evening and something different for us.

Lone Star Park opens at 5pm and we would like to encourage carpooling.

"Coloring with Cops" at the 2024 National Night Out is a wonderful opportunity to connect the community with Dallas Police.  Save the date!  More details to follow.

Rotary District 5810 Polio Chair, Ross Rolirad will update us about Rotary's current Polio Eradication Efforts-history- experiences- NIDS and where we are today.  Worldwide Polio Eradication is Rotary International's foremost health initiative - so close to completion - yet not so near. 

October Board of Directors meeting will be over lunch. 

ABOUT SALUTE TO AMERICA'S VETERANS

We are pleased to present the 20th Annual Salute to America's Veterans.  This event will raise funds to benefit two extraordinary organizations: USO DFW and George W. Bush Institute Military Service Initiative.

This outstanding event honors the contributions of veterans across the generations for maintaining our freedom and liberty, and raises funds for two organizations that are transforming the lives of our active military, our veterans and their families.  We ask you to consider playing a role in supporting this wonderful event.
