Human Trafficking: The Solution in the Dark
Feb. 12, 2020 11:45 a.m.
Jeremy Mahugh spent 10 years in the US Special Operations, where he went on to become and deploy as a Navy SEAL Sniper. After his time in the military, Jeremy returned to the Middle East as an operative for a National Level Intelligence agency for an additional five years. More than 17 deployments later, Jeremy returned home to work on a successful political campaign for a US Congressman, further committing himself to the American values that he upholds. When Nic McKinley, Founder of DeliverFund met Jeremy overseas, it became clear that the two shared a deep sense of mission and a mutual sense of duty. With a wide range of training in Special Operations, experience in the Intelligence community and time spent in the political arena, Jeremy often tells folks that every job he has held has only been to prepare him for the work that he is currently doing for DeliverFund. |

DREAMteam Awards
Jun. 10, 2020 12:00 p.m.
Dallas Rotarians Enabling Achievement and Mentoring Scholars
The mission of the DREAM Team is to begin mentoring high school students at the start of their sophomore year at Woodrow Wilson High School for about two and a half years, with a lesser mentor commitment through the mentees years of college. These mentors help students learn how to recognize, develop and utilize their leadership, scholarship and service capabilities while embracing the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self” as they prepare to become successful and productive citizens.
Developing these students into leaders will enrich the lives of countless others and result in stronger and more cohesive communities. Students that participate in the DREAM Team mentoring program are encouraged to apply for DREAM Team scholarship awards, which provide $8,000 a year towards a college education for up to two Woodrow Wilson High School seniors each year as long as they maintain the required GPA.
